17 year old Simar Malhotra stepped in the literary circles of the capital city today with the launch of her debut novel ‘There Is a Tide’ at The Oberoi hotel.
The book lays bare the political intrigue and its impact on the lives of ordinary citizens and was unveiled by iconic Indian lyricist, Javed Akhtar.
Praising the book and whilst speaking at the launch, Javed Akhtar said, “It’s a big achievement at such a small age. Simar who’s a 17-year-old girl went much beyond her years and dared to pen down her first novel, ‘There is a Tide’. I encourage and insist her to continue with her writing habit, and wish her a promising an extraordinary writing career ahead.”
